
Hello and welcome to my website, I am a level 3, REPs registered pilates instructor, teaching both mat work and equipment based pilates in the Guildford area and London. I teach to all levels of student, including injury rehabilitation and pre/post natal. Teaching at many different venues, I have gained experience with group mat and reformer classes, 1-2-1 sessions with extremely active individuals through to clients fresh from physiotherapy. Pilates is essentially a tool to reset your body to its factory settings. During a class my aim is to mobilise your spine and pelvis and encourage correct muscle activation and sequencing though each of the moves with the intention that your body behaves better in your day-to-day activity.
My own pilates experience began during my recovery from Reactive arthritis, when extensive damage to all my major joints drove me to seek a form of exercise to improve the day to day movement of my body. I was hooked from the beginning and after 6 months was astonished that I was no longer in pain and had eradicated my (rather pronounced!) limp! I also had people telling me that I looked taller and slimmer which was a welcome added benefit.
Due to my own experience I wholeheartedly believe in the effect pilates can have from improving posture and tightening the silhouette, to erasing back pain and mending injuries. And on top of the physical benefits (if that wasn't enough!) it quiets the mind, brings a better bodily awareness and a class will leave you energised and lifted and quite literally walking tall! In the words of Joseph Pilates himself "after 10 sessions you will feel a difference, twenty sessions see a difference, and after 30 sessions you will have a whole new body"

I run pilates classes at many clubs in the Guildford area including Esporta, The Charterhouse Club and Cranleigh Golf Club and also some London clubs. I also co-ordinate my own pilates classes at Field of Fitness in Guildford Town Centre.
